Rambo's Daily Dogma - by Rambo Fuhrman

3 Musketeers

One never knows when they are going to make new friends. They sort of creep up on you. You say hello one day, or take a quick sniff and move on - but then you see them again. You say hello, maybe hang out a little longer, and then it happens. You look forward to seeing them. This is what happened to me recently.

I kind of got into a little morning routine. I knew the drill - mom has to teach in the morning so we don't linger much, we get up - we make the beds and then we head out to do business. Well, it seemed that Mackabee and Wolfie were morning types and with the nice weather I found them relaxing on the park wall, surrounded by their parents and large Starbuck coffees. I generally would smell the coffee first, and then like clockwork, there they would be.

So as I said, I greeted them day after day and then I began to look forward to seeing them - and them me! It was so fun. I'd turn the bend after Food Emporium and then I'd race up the steps and leap to the wall - landing gracefully inbetween them. (I like to be in the center). We're all very friendly types and we'd sniff and slide and traverse and tangle and then it would be a quick nod and I was off. It doesn't have to be anything long and drawn out - quality over quantity. And it makes my day. I like each part of my day to have a special component so I always have something to look forward to. Treats are amazing, but friends can be pretty amazing too!
