The World Cup Soccer match ended last weekend with Germany beating Argentina. It was a long drawn out game, and endurance became key. I know how those players must have felt, I've played ball in the hall for long periods of time and it's gotten to the point where my entire tongue is hanging out of my mouth. It can get tiring. There is running, head butting, kicking... I get to use my arms and mouth too, but that's because there are no rules in my game.
Sometimes Ashela or Sophie will attempt to play my game, and I let them get the ball and return it to me. I should say I let Sophie do that. Ashela prefers to be the spectator and just sit and watch. So Sophie and I take turns running down the hall, and then either coveting it, or returning it for another round.
Sometimes a second ball is introduced into the mix! This intensifies the game immensely. (World Cup Soccer has YET to try this) Once the second ball, or even a different object entirely, is entered into play we have to track and acquire both. I seem to have a knack for this level as I can hold one in my mouth while I place my body over the other. I have yet to figure out how to move both objects from that location, but as there are no rules, I simply declare myself the winner at that point and we move on.
I'm thinking of writing the World Cup Soccer people to see if they are ready to move to level 2 in the sport, but we'll see. Being a sports visionary necessitates a little patience.
