No trepidation here....
This is our second visit in a few days, it is so much fun and a good workout too. I run the ramp - cross the bridge and then descend the staircase. Here I am waiting for mom to catch up. :) We went at sunset this time, which was quite magical. The sun glistens on the water and the colors in the sky and reflecting off the buildings are quite spectacular.
It was a nice way to end the day. To look at beautiful things and not rush... except for the ramp - that was just way too much fun! It also gave me a good appetite for dinner, which consisted of steak and kibble, and some greens from mom's salad.
Mom had been reading that dogs and cats do not have digestive enzymes in their stomachs, so we only develop saliva in anticipation of a meal. If food is left out all day (gasp) the saliva will not develop hindering digestion. Ideally food should be left out no more than 20 or 30 minutes - which I can barely believe, since I finish my meal in 5 minutes or less. (I also know to chew my food thoroughly)
So my suggestion is to take a nice walk, and enjoy a fresh meal. You'll feel relaxed and able to digest without any stress of the day, and then you can read a book or watch a funny show. Laughter is good for the abdominals.
